Focused Elegance Photography has morphed into Veridamo Photography.
It took many many many months, but we’ve finally made the change (errr, almost). We have a new name, new logo, new image, new brand, new website, same people and same attitude. And boy are we excited. And tired. But I think that’s cause of the baby.
The FocusedElegance website is still up and running to help out with previous clients and links and google searches etc. But we’ve now got http://www.veridamo.com up and running as our main site. You’ll also notice that the look and feel of this Blog has changed (for you sharp eyed readers it’s actually said Veridamo in the window title for a couple of months now).
There are still a couple of things to sort out. For example this blog is still www.focusedelegance.com/blog. I have to switch it over to the new domain but that’s going to take a bit of work. The second thing is that at the late stages I’ve run into an issue with the new Veridamo website and Mac computers. There’s an issue with this site running in Safari browsers. On some Mac computers the galleries appear to be random and in some machines you can’t even see the galleries. Arrrghhhhh. Hopefully I get this resolved before the wedding season is over 
So for you Mac exclusive users, you’ll have to borrow a PC for a few minutes. So sorry! Trust me, it’s more frustrating for me at the moment….
There’s more to say here, but it’s late and I’ve got a baby in one arm and it takes like forever to type one handed-ish.

Exciting times around here…..
We apologize if we haven’t been as responsive the last few days to calls and emails as we normally are.
Alexia Harrison was officially born on Jan 2. She was exactly 4 weeks early and so had to spend a few days in the neonatal intensive care unit - mostly for monitoring purposes. She passed with flying colours and has been home for a couple of days doing what babies do best. Which tends to be sleeping during the day, fidgeting during the night, filling a new diaper 5 minutes after it was just changed, and stealing our hearts when her gaze locks onto yours for a few seconds (before rolling up to the ceiling over to the fireplace down to the cat across to a bare white wall and then back to you where your heart melts a little bit more).
So of course the family has been clamoring for pictures, but woe is the daughter of a couple of photographers. Unlike others, we can’t just take some digital pictures and send them out. We take 100’s of pictures, edit them down, post-process them in photoshop, format and save for web posting or email and finally then they are ready.
Here’s a couple of images to keep the wolves at bay. There are more to see for family and friends and current clients that are interested. Just call or send an email and we’ll point you to them.

Happy New Year everyone!!
2008 is going to be a very significant year in our lives, with two very big changes.
The first change will be a new baby that we are expecting within the next week or so. This is our first child so we are expecting a slight change to our lifestyle. Based on feedback from everyone, we aren’t expecting much of a transition really. Just cutting out the odd movie here and there. And maybe some sleep. Well, and personal reading time. And any personal time together. I guess on top of those inconveniences will be the infrequent feedings and diaper changes. What - a couple of diaper chanegs a day maybe? It’s going to be a piece of cake. Really.
The other change is more directly impacting our business and has been an in-progress activity throughout 2007.
Yes, pretty soon we will have a new name, a new look, a new brand, and a new website. But it will still be our friendly smiling faces behind those cameras (one definitely prettier than the other).
The transition will occur very very soon. The launch is imminent - as soon as I’m done making the necessary website changes we’ll be live. No sleep for me.
