Engagement: Sarah & Kevin
And now for something completely different…
Sarah and Kevin met while in Air Cadets. Sarah was smitten, Kevin played it cool. This recipe resulted in a wedding a couple of weeks ago (yes, this is their Engagement session - done a while ago - umm, yup - just a little behind)
Naturally of course Kevin has his pilot’s license - so what better way to spend another warm June day than to fly from Boundary Bay airport to Chilliwack. Now I love Chilliwack, I have family that lives in Chilliwack - but there’s only one reason to fly all the way out there. Err, two reasons - the first is to take some wicked cool shots at the airport and with the mountains as a backdrop. The second is for some west-coast famous pie at the Airport Coffee Shop. Apparently it is the thing to do when flying into Vancouver - stop at Chilliwack first for some apple pie. It’s also a common destination for Vancouver pilots as it represents a quick hop to keep the ‘ol reflexes sharp. These quick-hops are so common that there’s even a publication called The $100 Hamburger that reviews fly-in restaurants.
So with flight plan filed, it was into the wild blue yonder we flew….
Don’t try this at home folks - Kevin is a seasoned pilot so we could get away with this shot, but you should always keep your eyes on the road, err sky, um air?
We don’t often do this affect to photos, but when it works it’s very retro cool…

These last three images are actually from a quick session at Rocky Point Park in Port Moody.
They really wanted a sunset shot and sunsets are usually hard to come by before noon.
