Top Mistakes That Brides Make….

There’s an article over at lifestyle.msn.com discussing the top 10 mistakes that brides make. Like all top-ten lists, take it with a grain of salt, but from our experience the list is actually pretty reasonable with good advice (especially the first two) :-)
1. Doing Anything…Before the Guest List
2. Reading Aloud to Your Fiance…From Bridal Magazines
3. Freaking Out Because Someone Else Has Your Gown
4. Realizing That Grape isn’t Your Color…With Two Months to Go
5. Trying to Drop Two Sizes Before Your Final Fitting
6. Doing it All Yourself
7. Overloading Your Mom’s Big Day To-do List

Wedding: Andrea & Scott

So last month Andrea and Scott finally did the whole wedding thing, which is cool, since together they are such a cool couple, and it’s cool because the two of us get to spend the day with the two of them and their very cool family and friends.

And speaking of cool, it was one of those days that you pray for - nice and sunny, but a very comfortable temperature (well, it was a little on the brisk side by the water, but a small price to pay for some of the images we got).

They decided to see each other before the ceremony, getting all the important images out of the way so they could focus on the ceremony and the reception that immediately followed it.

Andrea, waiting for Scott to arrive at her parent’s house

Scott had to prove his worthiness as a husband before he could see her. Apparently proving yourself involves dressing in paper bikinis, feather boa, and doing the can-can with your groomsmen. They also had to perform a number of other ‘manly’ tasks, but we can’t post every image :-)

Andrea waiting in her room, listening to the events going on downstairs (including what some would call as an attempt at singing) :-).

Dueling cameras. Except ours is bigger so we win!!!

Now we’ve got the group in downtown Vancouver.

Scott in the middle with his pose trailing, and of course his uber-slick Lexus wheels in the background. You want cool - this is cool!!!

A bit more of the elegant….

Girls on the dock, wooping it up (don’t those cranes make an awesome backdrop)

Sharing a laugh

About to share a kiss…

Scott taking charge of the situation

Done with the urban landscape of Vancouver, the group moved off to Swan-E-Set Bay Resort & Country Club where the ceremony and reception were held.

But first Scott insisted on showing the other guys his perfect form

A couple of private moments on the Swan-E-Set grounds.

The ceremony. The two trees in the background symbolizing nature in harmony and a life-long commitment to one another :-)

Practicing for their first dance a little later on

Two words for ya - ’smo’ ‘king’.

The first dance

We feel guilty for skipping over lots of great images of the reception and ceremony and getting ready and other stuff - but we figure 20 shots should be our max for a blog posting.

Thanks guys for a great wedding - it was our pleasure!
