Engagement: Erin & Brian
Erin and Brian were referred to our studio via my hairdresser at James Blonde Salon in Port Coquitlam. Erin was a stylist at the salon but has since moved on to Adsensia Aveda Salon in Port Moody. When they came to the studio for a consultation we immediately felt connected with them as they recounted the story about how it was that they came to meet.
When Erin and Brian met you could say that it was “love at first cut”. Brian’s friend Dave had his hair cut regularly with Erin and spent time “in the chair” getting to know her better - well enough to know that she was cute and single! Every time Dave went for a haircut he reported back to Brian reminding him that Erin was single and pretty fine on the eyes. However, he had some difficulty convincing Brian to leave his regular salon in Vancouver. (Brian says that he really liked his hair stylist and didn’t want to go to someone else). Finally after being unable to get an appointment with his regular stylist he called Dave and said: “what’s the name of that chick” – the one who cuts your hair? Brian called the salon but he couldn’t get an appointment with Erin – she was booked up. He was disappointed!
While he was at the salon, Brian inquired about Erin with one of her coworkers who made sure to get Brian’s contact information for the salon’s business records. By coincidence, the co-worker lived in the same building as Brian! How fortuitous!
Then one evening Brian was preparing for a ski trip when there was a knock at the door.
When he opened the door, to his surprise, there she stood – the “chick” from the salon! From Brian’s perspective, Erin and her co-worker pretty much stalked him – at least that how he likes to tell the story. The rest as they say is history. Brian asked Erin out for coffee on Valentine’s Day – but Erin had plans already. So, their first date was a Retro party at “Joey’s”. Brian is proud to say that he wore a baby blue tux with white leather shoes – and that Erin couldn’t resist him.
We look forward to Erin and Brian’s wedding day on August 12th.
