Congratulations

Congratulations go out to long time clients of ours; Krista and Rod Langtry - they welcomed baby Lola Elizabeth into the world on Saturday February 25th at 7:27 am. Big sister Emma is excited to have a new sibling and wants to hold Lola all the time. We hope to have the Langrty family in to the studio in the next few weeks to celebrate Lola Elizabeth’s entrance into the world. Proud Grandparents are Judy and Pat Dennett and Dot and Dave Langtry and we can’t forget Unlce Ryan Dennett and Aunt Jackie Langtry.

Once the Langtry’s have visited the studio we will post a couple of baby Lola’s portraits. Congratulations! We are so proud of you!

Wedding: Emma & Chris

Our first wedding of 2006 took place close to home in neighboring Port Moody. Emma and Chris actually met at a wedding - Chris was in the wedding party and Emma attended as a guest and was accompanied by her best friend (who just happended to also be in the wedding party) - thereby proving the adage that weddings are a great place to meet someone - especially if they are in the wedding party. Chances are if your future mate was chosen to stand up for the bride or groom to witness the vows, they are probably thought of very highly or they wouldn’t have been chosen in the first place - pretty safe to say that if they stack up to the couple that they would make great husband or wife material! Of course it helps your situation if you arrive without a date!

Part of the element of a surprise proposal is finding the perfect timing! What better day to propose to your future bride than on your own birthday - when she will least expect it! Chris sure takes the award for originality!

The wedding ceremony took place at St. Andrews United Church in Port Moody. The Bride and Groom made their life long promise to each other with the Mother of the Bride officiating the Ceremony. Formal portraits were taken at New Port Village in Port Moody where the Bride and Groom shared a Cappucino at the ever popular Casa Dolce. Afterwards they joined their guests at the Port Moody Curling Club to push a few rocks across the ice. The couple joined their guests for the reception at the Galleria at Port Moody City Hall - which has amazing and beautiful architecture.

Congratulations Emma and Chris - we await your return from your lengthy but deserved honeymoon!

Microwave

Do you ever watch your popcorn or left-over dinner spin around in the microwave and find yourself wondering how exactly it works?

I find myself, nose pressed up against the glass, wondering how well shielded the door is. Does it stop all the microwaves? Or maybe it did, but because it’s 10 years old the shielding abilities have diminished with time. If it can reheat quesadillas, what is it doing to my brain only inches away?

Well on the upside if I start to glow then we won’t have to bring extra lighting to dark reception halls. Tanya can follow me around and I’ll just stand off camera :-)
Just something to think about…

Jeff
